Participation rules for art historians and critics

ART CRITICS AND HISTORIANS

Centro de Arte Global/Global Art Center opens a space for reflection and theorization of the plastic arts, based on the multidimensional treatment of each artistic expression of both contemporary and classical plastic art. A unique website, where art historians and critics can present their writings in a zone of coexistence, breaking the boundaries of isolated sites such as blogs or articles separated or decontextualized from the art world, and at the same time, preserve their independence, because each artist, creator or critic maintains their own territory of exhibition of their work, visual or written within the web since art historians and critics will not be mediated by the works of artists in particular.

ARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

Art historians and critics who wish to publish historical, theoretical or art critical texts on the Web site may do so under the following participation guidelines:

The author make a single contribution for each work or group of texts they require to publish. This contribution help us maintain the site.

If the art historian or critic wishes to publish a single text (article, review or critique), the minimum recovery fee will be $ 50.00 MX (fifty Mexican pesos) or the equivalent at the moment of exchange of the Euro currency.

If the art historian or critic wishes to publish 2 to 5 texts (articles, reviews or critiques), the minimum recovery fee will be $100.00 MX (one hundred Mexican pesos) or the equivalent at the moment of exchange of the Euro currency.

If the author wishes to publish 6 to 12 texts (articles, reviews or critiques), the minimum recovery fee will be $350.00 MX (three hundred and fifty Mexican pesos) or the equivalent at the moment of exchange of the Euro currency.

Each recovery fee will be unique and, if it requested, will be cumulative: the author may contribute a one-off fee to enable him/her to publish periodically, up to the maximum number of publications covered by the amount of the contribution amount is reached.

The contribution will be unique for each text or group of works to be published, under the terms and amounts mentioned above and will remain published on the site for up to one year or a shorter period if required by the creator. In the event that the author requires his or her work to remain published, he or she must pay the respective recovery fees for each one-year period.

The author must sign a form stating that the text provided is original and of his/her authorship, as well as a permission of concession of rights indicating that the written work may be published and reproduced by CAG (Centro de Arte Global/Global Art Center), respecting the rights of each autor. The author will only grant reproduction rights.

The texts will have a length of 1 to 3 pages. The pages will be letter size with Time New Roman font, 12 points, 1.5 spacing.

The texts will be delivered: 1 original in PDF format and a copy in Word format.

Each text must contain the author's name followed by an underscore, the title of the work and the author's contact information.

The original in PDF format will have text and imagens. The copy in Word format must contain only the text and the images must be submitted separately in JPG format.

Texts will be submitted in the author's own language plus a translation into Spanish.

If the author publishes continuously and manages to collect a volume of 6 to 12 texts, he/she will have the alternative of opting for a particular space within the website. The texts may be considered for publication in digital book format with cover, index, pagination, etc., subject to the payment of a recovery fee of $1,200 MXN (one thousand two hundred Mexican pesos) or the equivalent at the moment of exchange of the Euro currency.

Each art historian or art critic has the option of having a website linked to Centro de Arte Global/Global Art Center, a subdomain for the promotion of his or her own written work (with the first name domainname.centro-arte-global.com).

The domain (subdomain) and the web, with one or up to five sections or pages with their own entries, has a recovery fee of $500 MXN (five hundred Mexican pesos, for the construction of one to five pages). If the author wishes the site to have six to twelve pages, he/she must pay a recovery fee of $1,700 MXN (one thousand seven hundred Mexican pesos). After 13 pages or sections, as well as the elaboration of a special design work, a special recovery fee will be covered and must be agreed with the CAG, as the web design has a standard model, suitable for the promotion of art history and art criticism writings. The recovery fees indicated include the update of one to five changes per year, either of the content or of part of the website.

The Centro de Arte Global/Global Art Center is in charge of the elaboration and construction of the artistic website, the pages and the individual website; the authors only have to provide the content of the text, the images that accompany their writings and the images with which they wish to compose their personal website.
